Harry Rivera
Project Manager

Harry Rivera joined BHIX as Project Manager in May of 2011. Harry will be managing IT requirements on behalf of BHIX for HEAL New York grant projects as well as other BHIX HIE related implementations.

Prior to joining BHIX, Harry worked for 9 years on the EpicCare Electronic Medical Record for the Weill Cornell Physicians Organization. Starting out as a developer programming customizations to the outpatient EMR, he moved on to project management positions implementing PDA based charge capture solutions as well as an enterprise wide patient portal. Ultimately Harry became the Application Development Architect leading and managing the team of developers working on the EMR and portal applications. In this capacity he devised and implemented coding standards and collaborative technologies such as SharePoint during his tenure. Most recently, Harry was responsible for the implementation of GE Centricity and EpicCare Ambulatory EMR for several departments at New York Downtown Hospital, providing all levels of project management from infrastructure and connectivity, to analysis, development and training, to go live support and operations.

Harry received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology and later went on to earn an MBA from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
