Senior Systems Engineer
Josh Lee joined the Brooklyn Health Information Exchange as a Systems Integrator / Engineer in July 2010. As a member of the technical team, Mr. Lee is involved with supporting the technical infrastructure at BHIX while enhancing the services it provides to the healthcare community. More specifically, Mr. Lee's areas of focus include business analysis, IHE web service integration, operations & reporting, and HL7 integration.
Before coming to BHIX, Mr. Lee served as a programmer and analyst in the Center for Biomedical Informatics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. There he led the development of genetic data analysis pipelines and phenotypic clustering methods.
Mr. Lee received a Master of Science in Public Health degree from Emory University in Public Health Informatics. He transitioned to the healthcare sector after working for several years in financial information technology. Mr. Lee earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Princeton University, where he was first introduced to the field of Medical Informatics and worked on assistive technology for people with aphasia.
