Vitaly Furman
Systems Integrator

Vitaly Furman joined the Brooklyn Health Information Exchange as a Systems Integrator/Engineer in May 2011. His primary focus at BHIX will be Interface Design and Implementations for HEAL New York grant projects as well as other BHIX-related implementations.

Prior to joining BHIX, Vitaly worked as an engineer for several medical imaging vendors, performing integration testing and product support for Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS). In this capacity, he helped develop and test HL7 and DICOM interfaces as well as integrations with 3rd-party applications. Most recently, Vitaly was a Product Support Engineer for Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, where he supported demonstration and trade show projects for Sales and Marketing of the Medical Informatics Division.

Vitaly received a Master of Science in Medical/Radiation Physics and a B.S. in Applied Physics, from Columbia University.
