The BHIX mission is to support the advancement of healthcare information technology and maintain a secure clinical data information exchange for the benefit of the people of the State of New York.

The BHIX vision is to create a patient-centric, regional health and wellness delivery system that improves the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare in the community. By removing gaps in patient health information across care settings, patient and provider satisfaction is vastly improved.
