Governor Paterson Announces $436 Million to Support Statewide Health Care Reforms

HEAL 10 NY" Funding Will Support Improvements in
Community-Based Health IT

On September 25th, New York State announced $436 million dollars in new HEAL grant awards. Of the $60 million in HEAL 10 awards for community-based HIT projects, New York City winners were Maimonides Medical Center ($6.7 million) and the New York City Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene/Primary Care Information Project ($6.9 million). The Maimonides HEAL10 project will facilitate a patient centered medical home within the mental health community throughout Southern Brooklyn. The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Primary Care Information Project (PCIP) project will focus on connecting providers caring for diabetic patients.

 

The Brooklyn Health Information Exchange (BHIX) would like to congratulate its colleagues on their HEAL10 awards. BHIX looks forward to continuing its work with these organizations to achieve clinical benefits for people in the City and State of New York.
