Summary: The Office of Health Information Technology Transformation is a newly created office within DOH charged with coordinating health IT programs and policies across the public and private health-care sectors to enable improvements in health care quality, affordability and outcomes for all New Yorkers.

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH)

Summary:The NYC DOHMH’s Primary Care Information Project (PCIP) is a multifaceted program to support the adoption and use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) among primary care providers in NYC's underserved communities. Its mission is to improve population health through appropriate technology and health information exchange.

Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC)

Summary: The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology provides leadership for the development and nationwide implementation of an interoperable health information technology infrastructure to improve the quality and efficiency of health care and the ability of consumers to manage their care and safety.

The New York eHealth Collaborative

Summary: NYeC was founded by health care leaders across the state, with leadership and support from the New York State Department of Health, as a public-private partnership that will serve as a focal point for health care participants to build consensus on state HIT policy priorities, and collaborate on state and regional HIT implementation efforts.  

The eHealth Initiative

Summary: The eHealth Initiative and the Foundation for eHealth Initiative are independent, non-profit affiliated organizations whose missions are the same: to drive improvement in the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare through information and information technology.   

Connecting for Health

Summary: Connecting for Health is a public-private collaboration under the direction of the Markle Foundation. It is designed to address the challenges of mobilizing health information to improve quality, conduct timely research, empower patients to become full participants in their care, and bolster the public health infrastructure.
